Fisherpeople, processors, parents, entrepreneurs, and foodies- Alaskans who are crazy about sharing our spectacular wild seafood with those who will savor and appreciate it as much as we do.Catch Sitka Seafoods is more than just a business. We are our people.
We are passionate about supporting our community's economy and creating local resilience by sourcing our seafood from trustworthy local, small-boat fisherpeople and employing community members to staff our team and processing facility.
Meet the Crew
Rooted in community, many of our fishermen spend the entirety of their fishing season living and working on the water in beautiful Southeast Alaska. They catch troll-caught salmon, as well as longline-caught halibut and sablefish, immediately ice their catch, and deliver it directly to our dockside processing facility at the end of each fishing trip. We don’t just offer our fishermen a higher price for their catch- allowing them to make a higher living wage- we also connect them directly to seafood eaters via our direct chain of custody, which is a rarity for fishers working in the context of the massive and murky international seafood market.
Our team of artisan processors have an unparalleled dedication to respect and quality when processing each fish that comes through our doors. Each fish is carefully filleted, portioned, and cleaned prior to being hand vacuum-packed and blast frozen.
We work to keep our plant impeccably clean, efficient, and, importantly, fun to work in. Our processing plant employees are true masters of their craft, and take great pride in continuing the individual attention the fish receive when caught by hook and line.
Our family-owned and operated company is rooted in community, respect for the fish we eat, and appreciation of the amazing ecosystem that supports our fish, us, our livelihood, and our business.
We prioritize our community, purchase seafood from our fishermen friends & neighbors, and staff our processing facility with local artisan processors. We are dedicated to efficiency, quality, and sustainability at every step of the process from sea to table.
